The Wianno Senior has always been a confusing boat for me. It’s like a mutant Alerion descendant. Which is a problem, because I really like Alerion and all the boats that are descended from her. But a lot of them (like the other Herreshoff Alerion type designs, or the modern cold molded or fiberglass interpretations) are really nice, and the Wianno just seems kinda… fat and heavy and poorly proportioned, but still looks kinda like Alerion.
JFK’s boat, the Victura, is back at the JFK Library. The boat is located behind the museum, facing towards the ocean. Victura will be around until late fall. Stop by and take a look!
